Travelers who…

Day 1: Arrival into Lisbon
Arrive in Lisbon and transfer to your hotel in one of the city’s historic neighborhoods. Depending on arrival time, take a short walk through the surrounding streets or settle in at a nearby café. The evening is left open to ease into the rhythm of the city.
Day 2: First taste of Lisbon's neighborhoods
Spend the day exploring Lisbon on foot, moving through neighborhoods like Alfama and Bairro Alto. Along the way, stop into small eateries and markets that introduce the foundations of Portuguese cuisine. The pace is unhurried, with time to take in viewpoints and street life as it unfolds.
Day 3: Day-trip to Evora
Travel inland to Évora, a historic town in the Alentejo region known for its well-preserved center and slower pace of life. Walk through Roman and medieval landmarks, then sit down to a traditional lunch at a vineyard in the Alentejo that reflects the region’s rustic, ingredient-driven cooking. Return to Lisbon in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Comporta & the Coast
Head south to Comporta, where rice fields, pine forests, and long stretches of beach create a quieter coastal landscape. The day is intentionally light — time for a relaxed lunch, a walk along the shore, or simply slowing down. Return to Lisbon in the evening.
Day 5: Onward to Porto
Travel north to Porto by train, watching the landscape shift along the way. After arrival, settle into your hotel before heading out for an introductory walk through the city’s historic center. Dinner is at leisure.
Day 6: Porto's Food & Wine Traditions
Explore Porto through its food culture, from markets to small, family-run establishments. Cross the river to Vila Nova de Gaia to visit historic wine cellars and taste port in the place it’s aged. The day blends everyday food culture with the region’s more formal wine traditions.
Day 7: Douro Valley
Travel into the Douro Valley, where terraced vineyards follow the curves of the river. After arriving at your hotel, the afternoon is left open to take in the setting — whether by the pool, on foot, or with a glass of wine overlooking the valley.
Day 8: Relaxation day
Spend the day exploring the Douro at a slower pace. Visit a local vineyard to learn about the region’s winemaking traditions, with a tasting that reflects its distinct character. The rest of the day is unstructured — time to rest, walk, or simply stay put.
Day 9: Free day in Porto
Whole day will be at your leisure until the farwell dinner.
Day 10: Departure from Porto
Transfer to the airport for departure. The journey ends with a sense of having experienced Portugal through its rhythms — both lively and slow.
